Finding The Truth

When my husband and I decided to have children I wanted to learn everything I could about the choices I would be making as a mother. I knew I wanted to breastfeed, and I know I didn't want to circumcise if we had a boy. It was only after my daughter was born that I started researching vaccines.
Micah didn't have a problem with me breastfeeding (not that it mattered I still would've still done it) but I had to convince, my Jewish husband that we shouldn't circumcise if we had a boy. It didn't take much. After I presented as much of the info as I had, he agreed that he didn't want to do that to our child.
When Tovah Neryse was about 4 months old I found a forum at http://www.mothering.com/ that had an incredible amount of info on vaccines. I was shocked, appalled at the info provided. I never knew that there was aluminum, mercury/thimerisol, formaldehyde and other things in vaccines. I never really paid attention to the Autism/Vaccine link. I found so much to think about and by the time Tovah Neryse was 6 months I had decided I wouldn't vax until I was certain I was comfortable doing so. Now, Micah and I have made the decision to no longer vax our child/ren, or ourselves for that matter.
I created this blog because I think it's important that people make educated decisions about our bodies, and our children's bodies. There are simply too many people that just go with what people tell them, never actually taking a hard look at what they are being told. I want to help spread the word about important issues. I want people to know that they have a choice.
You may be offended by the truth, you may not want to hear it, but everyone needs to know.
